No traffic on the plateau since 2011, former president of the CBF and COL, however, was isolated from the main decisions of the Federal Government and FIFA in relation to the World.Fall announcedThe departure of Ricardo Teixeira was devised in recent months. Without the support of FIFA, which already deals with the World Cup 2014 directly with the Federal Government, and without dialogue with President Rousseff, the hat has suffered with new allegations of corruption.Involved, according to the "BBC" in a case of corruption within FIFA, which is being investigated in Switzerland, Brazil now has his name linked to a scandal in Brazil. Documents disclosed by the "Folha de S. Paulo" pointed out that the hat has ties to the company that superfaturou Brazilian national team's friendly against Portugal in 2008, the Federal District. Fifa was a dreamAlmighty upon confirmation of Brazil to host the 2014 World Cup in 2007, Teixeira came to articulate a likely candidate for the presidency of FIFA 2015. The plan, however, lost momentum in recent months, when he fell into disfavor with the current number of a governing body of football, Sepp Blatter supporting Mohamed Bin Hammam in elections last year. The former president of the Asian Football Confederation withdrew the application after revelations that he bought votes for the election.
During the election period in Fifa, Teixeira turned around and began to support Blatter. The movement was not sufficient to improve the relationship with the organization's president, who, with the withdrawal of Bin Hammam won the election with no opponent.
Isolated on the PlateauAhead of the CBF since 1989, Ricardo Teixeira has lived periods of isolation and approach with the Federal Government. During Lula's government was an ally of former president and was received by senior Plateau. With Rousseff, however, does not have the same traffic. Since last year, not an audience with the president, who now reports directly to FIFA to deal with matters of World Cup 2014The last public appearance was Ricardo Teixeira in the notice of Ronaldo as a board member of the COL in November 2011.Since then, the former player turned the image of the committee. The image of former player, connected to the idol world like the World Plateau. Behind the scenes, however, Teixeira still had voice and defined what should be done by "Phenomenon."Read the letter from the former president of the CBF, Ricardo Teixeira:
Being president of CBF during all these years represented in my life a magical experience. Football in Brazil is more than sport, more than competition. It is the passion that surrounds it, is the suffering which joy is fidelity that unifies. For these reasons, the decision much thought and thought that now communicate much of what to say about my decision.Chairing passions is no easy task. Football in our country is always automatically associated with two images: talent and disorganization. When we won, attracted talent. When we lose, disorganization reigned. I did in these years, which was within my reach, sacrificing health, renouncing irreplaceable family life. I was criticized in the defeats and the victories undervalued. But this is too little, because I had the honor of managing not only the winning Football Confederation over the world, but also what human beings are more human: their dreams, their pride, their sense of belonging to a large crowd, which coincides with the country.By bringing the 2014 World Cup, Brazil won the privilege of hosting the biggest and most watched event in the world, is entered on the agenda worldwide, more leveraged the economy and increased the pride of the Brazilian people. I tried, within the limits of my strength, organizing talents. In my efforts, created the championship points accrued and the Brazil Cup substantially increased the incomes of Brazilian soccer, develop marketing and, above all, we won.

Today, definitely leave the presidency of the CBF with a sense of duty. No response to unfair attacks that vie to see the happiness in the faces of the Brazilians, the joy of winning more than 100 titles, including two World Cups, five American Cups and three Confederations Cups. Nothing stain that has been built with sacrifice, renunciation and pain.
The same passion that excites, it consumes. The widespread injustice, it hurts. The spirit is strong, but the body pays the bill. I now require health care. In obedience to the status of CBF, more specifically, the provisions of Article 37, you, my vice president and former governor of Sao Paulo, Jose Maria Marin, the CBF is to preside. To you, I wish luck to prove that the talent at the right time, discernment, so that Brazilian football follow increasingly organized and respected, and strength to face the difficulties which will come.
Let the CBF, but do not let the passion for football. Even so, starting today, and where necessary, put myself at the disposal of the entity. I meet with more strength to my family, who understood my mission has always supported me and makes me even happier. Thanks especially to presidents of state federations and clubs, managers and employees of the CBF, loyal friends whom I have always found unconditional support for the performance of my work. In the Brazilian fans, thank you very much. I will never forget the glasses being raised. They are at the heart of each one of us. They are a part of Brazil.
Sincerely yours,

Ricardo Terra Teixeira
