Prince William, future King of England





Prince William was born on June 21, 1982 in St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, England. Son of Charles, Prince of Wales, eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His mother is the late Diana, Princess of Wales. 

Prince William is the grandson of a British monarch and son of the Prince of Wales, his full title is His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales. 

Prince William has a brother, Prince Harry. The second wife of his father, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is his stepmother and has two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopez, Prince William giving a half-brother and half-sister. 
The first official public appearance of Prince William was on March 1, 1991, the day of Saint David, during a visit to Cardiff, the capital of Wales. 
After arriving by plane, then Prince William to eight years old, was taken by his parents to Llandaff Cathedral. After seeing the cathedral, he signed the visitors book, demonstrating that it was a lefty. Photos of Prince during the visit are in a permanent exhibition about the cathedral. When he left, many school children and local residents gave him presents, that the prince received with a smile, whispering "thank you". 
In May 1995, Prince William accompanied his mother, his father and brother at the Fiftieth Anniversary of the European victory, a celebration held in Hyde Park, also accompanied his family in the Jubilee of Victory over Japan in front of Buckingham Palace. 
Since childhood, Prince William is a fan of traditional soccer team Aston Villa FC. 
Prince William already has signs of premature baldness, but he apparently does not care about that. 
Death of Diana, Princess of Wales on 31 August 1997, the mother of Prince William, Princess Diana was killed in a tragic car crash in Paris along with her boyfriend, Dodi Al-Fayed. The dog died after spending a holiday in southern France with their two children. Both were at Balmoral Castle with her father, with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. On that morning, Prince Charles agreed to the chiefs to tell them the news. 
At the funeral of Diana, Prince William, at fifteen, he accompanied his father, his brother, his paternal grandfather and his maternal uncle (Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer) on the way to Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, just behind the coffin of Princess Diana. During his eulogy, the Earl Spencer promised that the Spencer family would take an active interest in caring for the children of Princess Diana, but both the Prince and Prince Harry rarely see. With the mother of Princess Diana, Frances Shand Kydd, they always had little contact. 

Education 

Prince William was educated in private schools in southern England. In its early years, was a student from kindergarten Mrs Jane Mynors and schools pre-preparatory Wetherby School, both in west London. In 1987, joined the Fun With Music, a music appreciation class conducted by Ann Rachlin. So, Prince William was enrolled at Ludgrove School in Berkshire, a preparatory school. After passing the entrance exam, went to Eton College, also in Berkshire. While there, he studied geography, biology and art history at Advanced Level. 
After finishing Eton College and as a growing number of British teenagers, Prince William decided to take a sabbatical (gap year, in English) prior to entering university. He took part in a British Army training in Belize. 
He spent the final stage of his gap year in Chile as a volunteer with Raleigh International. Photos of Prince cleaning a toilet were broadcast around the world. He worked on a British farm and later went to countries in Africa. Currently, performs charity work, as well as their families, in support of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, his grandmother. 
After completion the gap year in 2001, Prince was accepted at the University of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland, graduating in 2005. He began studying art history, but then decided to change, as its main article for Geography. Prince William received the Scottish degree of Master of Arts "with honors above the second grade, the highest academic achievement that no other heir to the British throne has ever received. In St. Andrew, was referred to as William Wales. 
In January 2006, Prince William began his cadet course at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to train as a military officer. Prince William joined his brother, Prince Harry, who was there from May 2005. 

Sports 

Prince William enjoys playing soccer, rugby, water polo and swimming. In Ludgrove, he captained the hockey and rugby, representing the school on a crusade across the country. Prince William is also in ace pigeon shooter and won the school tournament in 1994. Besides sports, acted in plays at school, loves reading and watching independent films. 






Relationship with her grandmother 

Prince William is very dear to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Appeared at Westminster Abbey, the same year the death of Lady Diana, to celebrate the day of thanksgiving to the "Golden Anniversary" of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in November 1997. Dating 

Prince William will marry Kate Middleton, who's dating since 2004. They met at the University of St. Andrews and shared an apartment together. 
The couple was seen together for the first time on a trip in Klosters, where he practiced skiing in April 2004. During 2005, the media began to suspect an engagement. That year, it is believed that she met the Queen at Balmoral Castle. They met again on other occasions as well. From what we know, both Elizabeth II as Prince of Wales agreed Middleton, who has a degree in art history.
The media attention was so great that she was often photographed in their daily trips. On 17 October 2005, Kate Middleton complained to her lawyer about harassment from the media, saying he had not done anything to gain publicity. In December of that year, the German magazine Das Neue published photos of the exterior of his London flat, revealing its location. Since then, she's accompanied by bodyguards. The tabloid Evening Standard said that Prince William was considering going to the European Court of Human Rights because it was concerned about his privacy and that of his girlfriend. 
In February 2006, was announced by the Diplomatic Protection Department Royalty and Kate Middleton would receive security twenty-four hours, fueling speculation about an upcoming engagement. Since it was announced, in fact, no engagement, that the security plan was not effected. 
On the anniversary of twenty-five years Kate Middleton in January 2007, has grown so much media attention around it, worrying about Prince William and his father, Middleton's lawyers took a legal action. As a result, the Guardian and News International have decided to refrain from publishing photographs of her taken by paparazzi. 
On December 15, 2006, Kate Middleton, royal official as a guest, attended the "passing parade" of William the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. According to the Daily Mail, a British tabloid, she was invited by the Queen to Christmas lunch. It was the first time a royal companion of someone to attend a festive celebration at Sandringham House near Sandringham, Norfolk, Middleton accepted the case, yet she chose to spend Christmas with his family. 
In December 2006, "someone close to the palace said that Kate Middleton was not in time to prepare for a future princess. Although media speculation says that by the end of 2007 is officially the engagement between them, Prince William has said he would not think of marriage until completing at least twenty-eight years. 
After a breakup in April 2007, Prince William and Kate reunited dating. On November 16, 2010, the British Royal House announced the marriage between the two, which according to international media, will be the biggest cut since the wedding the wedding of the groom's parents at the beginning of the 80s 

Prince William prepares to be king 

The prince will receive special training before the throne. Prince William has a responsibility to become the future King of England. But for this, according to his grandmother, the reigning Queen, he must hold a degree that he may learn to perform their functions optimally.

Prince William was christened on 82 anniversary of his grandmother, the Queen Mother, on August 4, 1982, in the music room of Buckingham Palace by Dr. Robert Runcie, Archbishop of Canterbury. Her godparents are King Constantine II of Greece, Laurens van der Post, Princess Alexandra of Kent, the Duchess of Westminster, Lord Brabourne and Lady Susan Hussey. 

Through her his mother and his maternal grandfather, Prince William is descended from King Charles II of England and King James II of England. Prince William, when he becomes king, will be therefore the first monarch since Anne of Great Britain to be a direct descendant of Charles I of England.
